Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape comfortably loose. This is the narrowest part of the body between the ribs and the hips.

Hip
Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips.

Stunning

The dress will be flattering on anyone. The quality is great. The only downside is the thigh part of the dress is to tight where it rides up. So you are constantly pulling it down. I feel like if it was an inch and a half longer with a tiny slit in the back or side it would be perfect!
